I embarked on my creative journey at the Kansas City Art Institute and Arizona State University, where I delved into the foundations of graphic design. While in school, I honed my skills in basic design principles, collaborated with peers to enhance problem-solving abilities, explored the rich history of typography, and delved into the intricacies of color theories. Despite a brief stint at university, real-world responsibilities prompted me to work full-time to support myself. Nevertheless, my passion for design persists, and I seize freelance opportunities whenever they arise. To stay current in the ever-evolving design landscape, I immerse myself in design literature, follow influential graphic designers and educators on social media, and continually enhance my technical proficiency through online resources. One notable project involved crafting a comprehensive branding package for a friend's real estate venture, applying my academic knowledge to transform her ideas into a clean, functional design. I am dedicated to proving that my lack of a degree does not impede my ability to produce authentic and functional designs, as design remains my unwavering passion.
